Thanks for the amazing and thoughtful comment.

This is the type of criticism that makes me love writing on Medium. On Facebook and Linkedin, people are screaming in the comment section but here we get super detailed and thoughtful feedback.

All that is to say that you are 100% RIGHT. Lifestyle or cost of living should be constantly evolving based on your circumstances and goals. Everything has an oppurtunity cost.

When you have no wealth but big financial goals, cutting back on lifestyle makes sense. BUT as you icnrease your wealth, it's okay to start living a little (just avoid lifestyle inflation.)

In fact, this is such a key point that I think you inspired my next article, as a follow up to this piece and really drilling down on this point.
