Hi Scott, I agree it’s high. There is a link to data source below the tables. I did leave out an important detail this throws a $5 delivery charge on top of that. I’ll make an amendment to the post to make that clear. Here is how they describe how they arrived at the average restaurant prices

An average of the price at Applebee’s, Cheesecake Factory, Chevy’s, Chili’s, Lyfe Kitchen, Maggiano’s, and P.F. Chang’s. Then added an average $5 delivery fee based on delivery prices from Caviar, UberEats, and Grubhub.

Still even without the delivery fee we arrive at the same conclusion, it’s cheaper to make chicken at home!
