Very True Thomas. I might have a panic attack but I would not sell lol. So I wouldn’t make a panic trade. I’m confident in that for a number of reasons:

  1. Because my wife and I both have very strong job security
  2. We have a large cash reserve in the event one of us did lose a job
  3. We would be able to live off either my or her salary so we would only be in hot water if we both lost our job
  4. I can recall a point in my life where I had take a loan to keep my parents from being evicted. After coming out of a period like that, I’m confident I can handle a market downturn.

But your point is valid, there’s no way in knowing for sure until it happens.
